Quilting 101
$30 – 2 hour class

In this class you will learn:
How to use a rotary cutter, How to read a mat vs. ruler grids, Difference when
cutting on a bias, Math matters in the block - seams 1/4", Material selection,
Matching/nesting seams, Pressing seam allowances, Strip vs. block piecing,
Chain stitching

Rotary Cutter,Rotary Mat, Sewing Machine, Thread

Basic Serger
$15 - 1 hour class
7/10 9:30-10:30 Overland Park or 7/13 10-11 Lee’s Summit
In this class you will learn:
How to thread machine, How to care for machine, How to use machine for
basic serging
Supplies to bring:
Serger, Owner’s Manual, thread tweezers, 4 colors of cone thread, all accessories
for machine if owned.

Crochet 101 $30
7/20 11:30-1:30 Overland Park or 7/10 6-8 Lee’s Summit
In this class you will learn:
The difference in yarns v. crochet thread and when to use which one, The
different parts of a crochet hook and different gauges, Chain stitch, single stitch,
turning, double stitches, slip stitch, How to change colors or yarns, How to join
stitches together and weave in ends to complete a project, Basic Pattern reading
Supplies to bring:
Crochet hook (size G/8, I/9 or J/10), 1 skein of worsted weight yarn
(Lion, Red Heart), scissors

T-shirt Quilt Workshop
$50 - 6 hour class

In this class you will learn:
How to assemble a t-shirt quilt
Supplies to bring:
T-shirts - at least 20 adult size for a twin quilt, fusible interfacing, fabric marker,
rotary cutter, cutting mat, straight edge, measuring tape, pins, sewing machine,
thread, scissors
